Geoffrey Wijn (Singapore, 1968) aka “Wine” is a popular Dutch Neo-pop artist. He paints about the inspiring things in life: his life motto “All you’ve got is this moment”. This means good food and wine, all the nice things in life, music, movies, women, cars and design. With his colorful paintings he tells the story of his artistic life.

Its unique and modern style is a great international success. Due to the variety of clients and the many exhibitions, his work is very versatile. He mainly works with acrylic paint on canvas, but he also uses knives and aerosols. He owns a large studio/gallery in the Netherlands called Wine Art Gallery. This New York-style industrial building takes you back to the Pop-Art scene of the 1980s.

After graduating in 1996 from the University of the Arts, faculty of architectural design, Geoffrey Wijn started his career as an artist. Geoffrey broke through with his Live!Art and is a welcome guest at all kinds of events.

Creating a work of art “on the spot and quickly” by being inspired by the events of that one moment has become Geoffrey’s trademark.

Geoffrey Wijn regularly exhibits his works in various international galleries.

Geoffrey: “When I was 10 years old I lost my father, quite traumatically. My brothers and I grew up very close from that moment on. With two older brothers, whom I looked up to. But the leader of the pact was my mother, which I have an incredible amount of respect for how she did it all, with three of those guys. I think maybe that’s why I have subconsciously depicted a strong lady with a big hat. The hat symbolizes protection, feeling safe. I have made hundreds of paintings with the grateful theme of this woman. Over the years, this has developed more and more into all kinds of ladies in all kinds of situations. I am inspired by all kinds of events that I experience from close by or from a distance. I observe continuously and save the situations to incorporate them into my paintings later”.

Over the years, the WINE GIRLS have become very recognizable as a signature for the paintings of WINE.
